We don't cast for one body type; we cast for artistry. And we've built a company where the dancers reflect those values and bring the best and most meaningful work of their careers. What the audience sees is real talent in real people.
Access for all is foundational.
Through Oyo Access, we give free tickets to those who'd otherwise never walk through the door of a professional dance performance. Reaching everyone isn't our outreach line item. It's the reason we exist.
Art with a purpose.
Our performances seek to highlight issues of social justice and cultural diversity. We engage the public through workshops, classes, and shows designed to move and change people. We don’t just want applause. We want people to leave with a different way of seeing society.
Small, nimble, and rooted in Columbus.
We care about Columbus. We want our dance company, volunteers, and audiences to all work together to cross the divides that separate us in our city, so we can all build a better tomorrow. Because we need each other, and are better together.
