Who Can Apply: Actors, singers, and dancers, ages 10–22
Must pre-register to audition.

About the Show

Oyo Dance Company presents a fresh retelling of the classic Babes in Toyland. This is a full production featuring many different styles of dance, and we're looking for young performers ready to help bring the story to life. Whether you love to dance, sing, or act, there's a place for you in the show.

Who Should Audition

This production is open to performers ages 10 through 22. You don't need to be a dancer to apply; we're casting actors, singers, and dancers, with different styles of dance to be featured in the show.

Does your child loves to perform? Or are you a teen looking for real stage experience? If so, this is your chance to be in a professional company's production. We look forward to seeing you at the audition.

What to Expect at the Audition

  • What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, dance shoes if you have them

  • What you'll be asked to do: learn a short dance combination, read lines, and maybe sing a few bars

  • How long the audition will last: 1-2 hours, depending on attendance

  • What to prepare: if you are a singer, prepare a few measures to perform

  • What to bring: an attitude of curiosity and excitement!

The Commitment

  • If cast, performers should be available for the following schedule:

  • Rehearsals:

    • Jan 8-Feb 26, Fridays 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

    • Sat Feb 27, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    • March 1-3, 5-8 p.m.

  • School performances: March 4 & 5, 2027; arrive 8:30 a.m. for 10:30 a.m. show

  • Public performance: March 6, 2027; arrive 12 p.m. for 1:30 p.m. show

  • Please review these dates with your family before auditioning to ensure availability.
